[Between the Stitches] A birthstone inspired cowl, a cozy bundle deal, and county fair season!

Hey Reader, it's Jessica!

There's a real September crispness in the morning air now ... the kind that makes me want a cowl within arm's reach - they're so easy to grab on the way out of the house. If you're feeling that same pull toward soft, wrap-yourself-up knits, you're going to love what I've got for you today.

Grab your favorite mug, cozy up with your current WIP, and let's catch up Between the Stitches. It's a quick 4-minute read!

📸 Pattern Spotlight

I've always loved my birthstone, and this cowl was born from that little obsession.

The Peridot Cowl was named for the unique shade of yarn used to create this cozy knit. At first glance, I was instantly reminded of my cherished birthstone. This cowl just feels good to wear … it combines the style and shaping of a shawl without all the fuss. It’s my favorite type of accessory to wear: just grab and go!

You'll start with a garter tab cast-on, work a simple textured ridge stitch with soothing stockinette in between (so it knits up quickly!), then join to work in the round as the texture builds.

The shaping lets it rest gently on your shoulders, whether you pick a bright pop of color or a neutral that goes with everything.

🛍️ Love a great deal on patterns?

If you're the type who loves stacking up patterns for less (no judgment, we all are!), the Cozy Cowls Bundle is calling your name. It's a whole collection of my cowl patterns, including the Peridot Cowl, bundled together so you can save 30%.

🎡It's County Fair Season!

It's that time of year again ... county fairs are popping up everywhere, and I always get a little thrill thinking about all the handmade entries on those judging tables.

Have you ever entered anything in your county fair?

I'd love to know ... and if it happened to be one of my patterns, that would honestly make my whole week! 🥰

Come tell us about it in the group!

Two fun yarnie chats for you today ... come share your thoughts in the group!

First: pick ONE of these to disappear forever ... magic loop, weaving in ends, counting stitches, or frogging. Choose wisely!

Second, a round of "Would You Rather: Knitting Edition": Would you rather frog an entire sweater, or untangle a hopelessly snarled skein of yarn?

Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today. Whether you're casting on something new or just dreaming up your next project, I hope this little dose of knitting joy brought some inspiration your way.

Until next time ... stay cozy, stay creative, and keep knitting what makes you smile.

Knit Happy,
