Hey Reader, it's Jessica!
I have some incredibly exciting news to share with you today! I am officially organizing the next virtual Knit Happy Summit, airing this May, and the Call for Speakers is officially OPEN!β
I know I have an amazing group of talented industry professionals in this community, and I wanted to reach out to you with a special invitation.
If you are a ...
- Knitting Instructor
- Knitwear Designer
- Local Yarn Shop (LYS) Owner or Employee
- Indie Dyer
... this email is specifically for you!
(And if you aren't, I would be so grateful if you forwarded this email to your favorite knitting teacher or dyer!)
The Theme: "Beyond the Basics"
For this summit, we are focusing on adventurous knitters who are comfortable with the fundamentals but are ready to level up.
I am looking for 20-30 minute presentations that help makers tackle new techniques (like fair isle or stranded colorwork, steeking, lace, cables, or knitting charts) and build their creative confidence.
βI have some presentation topic inspiration for you right here!β
Why speak at the Knit Happy Summit?
I want this event to be a massive win for your business and help you grow your audience (and all without crossing your fingers and spending tons on Facebook Ads!)
Here is how I make that happen:
π₯ Your presentation is 100% pre-recorded: You can record your 20-30 minute session on your own schedule. Absolutely zero live-event tech stress!
π°This is a paid opportunity: I deeply value your expertise. I guarantee a minimum compensation for our speakers, plus the opportunity to earn affiliate commissions.
π Email List Building: You will get to pitch your own freebie during your session, allowing you to grow your email list and connect with thousands of passionate, eager knitters. Then, after the summit, you'll have a warm and engaged audience who has already gotten to know you to market your paid offers to.
If you have a technique, a clever workaround, or a mindset shift that you are dying to teach, I would absolutely love to hear your ideas and feature your genius.

Here's what some past Speakers shared about their experience with me:
This was incredibly easy and pleasant. I hope you'll do it again next year! My favorite part was the ease of creating and submitting materials, guaranteed payment for work submitted, the friendly community, and regular check-ins from Jessica. My list grew by about 600 people that I could directly trace to the summit, and there were probably more who signed up after visiting my blog.

I just wanted to thank you for including me in the Knit Happy! Summit and let you know how impressed I am at how you ran it. There were so many fun elements, and the attendees clearly loved it. The energy in the Facebook group was sky high! It was an amazing feat of organization and a ton of work, and you handled it all with such warmth and finesse.
You also treated newbie me with great patience and encouragement. I really cannot say enough good things about the summit.
I hope that I can be a future speaker again, myself! Over the course of preparing the presentation, doing the promotion, and participating in the live sessions and FB group, I found a bunch of ways that I could enhance my end of things on the next go-around, and also developed a list of potential future presentation topics. Whenever you decide to organize another summit, Iβd love to be included.
Many congratulations on a great summit!
Warmly, Lena

It was great to connect with a new audience and hear from so many knitters saying that I gave them the courage and motivation to give brioche a try!
I gained over 500 newsletter subscribers, over 100 YouTube subscribers, and over 50 Instagram followers ... and a few sales off of my welcome email sequence.
I've also really enjoyed getting some of the new subscribers responding to my emails and telling me about their experiences with brioche and sharing the start of their new projects.

βSpeaker Applications will officially close on Friday, March 27, so don't wait too long to throw your hat in the ring!
I can't wait to see what topics you come up with.
β
Knit Happy,
P.S. - To all the LYS Owners on this list - my Local Yarn Store Day pattern is almost ready to share with you! I will have all the details ready for you this Friday. It's a fun, smaller project that I think your customers are going to absolutely love, and it only uses one beautiful skein of DK weight yarn. Keep an eye on your inbox!
β
P.P.S. - I am also opening up a few spots for Summit Sponsors! If you are a brand or maker interested in getting your products in front of our attendees, hit reply to this email and we will get back to you with the details.
